TRUE-BLUE TO THE SEA

Explore the history of navigation at a speed of three knots!
Embarked on an intriguing journey through the centuries of maritime history, you will listen to adventure stories of first sailors and uncover methods used throughout history to aid navigation; discover Klaipeda in the epoch of sailing ships - the time, when the best ships still were wooden ships, but the men were iron men. 
You will find out how to get on well with the sea and how to become true-blue to it. Moreover, you yourself will be a captain of this voyage and you will decide the number of knots to unwind. 


GET TO KNOW THE MYSTERIUOS WATER WORLD 

You might have heart that water makes up more than 70% of the Earth's surface. Still, there is so much about the oceans that we do not know. CURIOUS? Let‘s get down to the world beneath the waves! 
We will discover the ocean from the very primal its inhabitants to the most predatory ones. We will talk to Australian trumpet and play to the sea. The range of water colours will take us from a rivulet to deep seas, where we will find prehistoric fish as old as dinosaurs.  Sounds unbelievable? Come and experience yourself!

Behind the scenes in Aquarium
If you have ever wondered about peeking at the back stage of the museum or wanted to ask a museum specialist a collections-based question, this tour is right for you!
Behind the scenes, you will have a closer look to a museologist’s daily routines. Should it be feeding the inhabitants of aquaria, maintaining life-supporting system of the tanks or bringing up new fish in the quarantine lab, Safety, Responsibility, and Care for Life are the principal rules.
Come, gain hands-on experience and take up challenge of becoming an aquarium curator!


Groups can be made up of max. 25 persons to Aquarium and Navigation History exhibitions;
Content of the tours can be adapted for all age groups.
Price per tour: 50 Eur.

Tours guided by the museum biologist or historian to Aquarium or Navigation History exhibitions
