What are the opening hours of the museum?  
Opening hours vary: detailed opening hours are available here [1].


What are the ticket prices to visit the museum and dolphin performance?
The ticket prices vary depending on the season; categories of tickets: adults and children; other discounts are applied. Detailed ticket prices are available here [2]. 


How long does it take to visit the museum (on the average)?  
On the average, it takes 1.5 hours to visit the expositions of the Sea Museum and aquarium. The duration of the dolphin show lasts 35 min.; The visiting of the Ethnographic Fisherman’s Homestead and the Ground of Old Fishing Vessels takes approx. 45 min. 


How to arrive at the museum?  
The Lithuanian Sea Museum and the Dolphinarium are situated on the Curonian Spit, Kopgalis site. To reach the museum, take a passenger ferry departing from the Old Ferry Terminal at Danės str. 1, Klaipėda (passengers/ bike-riders; the distance from the terminal on the Curonian Spit side to the museum is 1.6 km); or from the New Ferry Terminal at Nemuno str. 8, Klaipėda (by car/ bike; the distance from the terminal on the Curonian Spit side to the museum is 7 km). Attention! The cars are not transported from the Old Ferry Terminal! Plan your route here. [3]


Is there any kind of transport available on the Curonian Spit (Smiltynė) side to get to the museum?  
After the transfer from the Old Ferry Terminal to the Curonian Spit (Smiltynė side), there are private mini trains running along the route Smiltynė–Museum. The schedule of the mini train is matched with the schedule of the ferry. For more information: +370 67039911, +370 68789132.


Is there a car parking lot near the museum?
There is a parking lot situated near the dolphinarium; it belongs to Klaipėda City Municipality. The parking lot accommodates approx. 80 cars and 8 buses. The parking of vehicles near the Lithuanian Sea Museum is charged a fee from 1 May to 15 September.  Prices are available here.  [4]


May I park a bike near the museum?  
Yes, there are sites for bikes at the museum and dolphinarium. A visitor must consider having a personal lock. 


Are there any lockers to keep private belongings at the museum?  
Yes, there are lockers arranged at the central ticket office of the museum; the service is free of charge.


Is it permitted to bring snacks and drinks to the museum, dolphinarium?   
We kindly ask visitors to not bring drinks in open containers and food to the dolphin performance hall, „Sun Bay“ and exposition halls of the museum. 


Are the dolphin performance tickets available at the ticket office at the dolphinarium only? 
All tickets to any object (museums, dolphin performance) can be purchased at any operating ticket office on the territory.


Is it possible to pay by a bank card at the museum ticket office?
Yes, bank cards are accepted at the museum ticket offices.


Is it possible to purchase tickets on-line in advance?  
Yes. We recommend purchasing tickets on-line because it is faster, more convenient and cheaper. Once arriving, a visitor has already got a ticket to the dolphin performance at the wanted time; moreover, queues are avoided and discounts are applied when purchasing on-line.


Is it necessary to print out the tickets bought on-line?   
A mobile device may be used to display not more than 10 tickets for scanning by a controller. We kindly ask to display the ticket barcode to the controller, magnify the image and set a maximum lighting of the screen.


Is it possible to change the tickets or return the money paid?
The purchased tickets may not be returned and the money is not reimbursed, with the exception of the cases when the services cannot be delivered to the visitors due to the fault of the Museum. Therefore, we kindly ask visitors to responsibly plan the arrival, estimating the time of the ferry transfer.


Is it necessary to present specific certificates, cards to get a discount?
Yes, specific certificates or cards required to purchase tickets with applied discounts must be presented at the ticket office and if a controller at the entrance requests. This procedure is applied both to group leaders, tourist guides who led the groups to the museum and private persons. If a person refuses to present a specific document, the discount is not applied. The tickets sold with an applied discount are valid only for a person who purchased that ticket and cannot be transferred to other persons.


Is there a permanent, annual ticket to the museum?  
Yes, the annual ticket may be purchased both at museum ticket offices and on-line. [5]

How to order an entertaining individual activity with dolphins?  
To register in advance, please call +370 698 37299. The activities are organised from Tuesday to Sunday, at 10.40–11.10. Activities are not available in July and August.
An entertaining activity acquainting with dolphins lasts 30 min. It is an unforgettable meeting with dolphins. The activity does not take place in water; it does not involve the swimming with dolphins. During the activity, participants communicate with the dolphins while staying dry, near the main pool.

The activities take place in the museum, aquarium and dolphinarium.


Is there a café in the museum and dolphinarium? 
Yes, there are cafés in the lobby of the dolphinarium and, in the summer season, outside near the dolphinarium.


Is is permitted to visit the museum or dolphinarium with a pet?   
No, it is not permitted to visit the exposition halls of the Sea Museum, aquarium, Dolphinarium or Sun Bay with pets.


Is it possible to arrange a private event at the museum?
Yes. A private or company festive event, seminars, conferences, workshop sessions may be arranged at the Lithuanian Sea Museum. The view of the venue and premises is available here.  To order or enquire, please call +370 698 37299. 


Can individuals with movement disability visit the museum? Are there any lifts?   
There are ramps arranged in the lobby of the Dolphinarium; there are both a regular lift and a specialised lift to access the dolphin performance hall; there is a lift operating by the Sun Bay. The access to the second floor of the aquarium building (the central redoubt) is available by using a lift. The halls of the Exhibition of the Navigation History are partly adjusted for the access. Is there a separate premise specialised for feeding and/ or swaddling a baby in the museum?
Yes, there is a comfortable child and mother’s room situated in the Dolphinarium; there are specialised desks equipped for swaddling a baby in the Museum.
